NOTD-Going Dotty!

Hello everyone!
I haven't done one of these posts in a while so thought i would show you these lovely dotty nails that i have become slightly obsessed with doing!
I have to admit that these are in no way perfect,i am pretty awful at nail art in general,but if you're like me and are after something quick and easy to achieve i think you may like these!


The first i completed was the blue/purple dots which originally i did the trend of a different coloured ring finger ,which i really enjoy doing,but decided to spruce it up a bit and add some dots too! The shades i used for this look were from Gosh and Nails Inc,however unfortunately as i am at home i don't have the colours on me to give the exact names of the shades (if you really would like to know i will find out asap for you-just leave a comment below letting me know!) but in theory you could do this with any colours you wish!


The next style i did was using the colour from Max Factor called Onyx which is a gorgeous glossy black and used the two Nicki Minaj for OPI shades called "did it on em" and "Pink Friday" which add such a pop of colour and look so vivid on top of the black base!


If you were wondering how i created the dots,i simply dotted straight from the polish using the brushes provided!i know this isn't very technical and probably didn't give me the best dots but i don't have the patience to be fiddly and spend ages making each dot perfect! The looks still came out well and it definitely got some compliments as people noticed them!

Hello be-you-tiful ladies (and gents!)


Today's post is all about a new unexpected favourite nail polish of mine!i previously did a post quickly reviewing the Nicki Minaj OPI mini collection i bought a few weeks ago and to be honest at the time i was most excited to see the baby pink colour 'pink friday'.However, a couple of days ago i decided to give the colour 'fly' ago and i could not be more impressed!!
The colour itself is is a gorgeous deep teal,which is beautifully vivid but not so much that on a daily basis it is too in your face! The colour is so pigmented and deep,i can not stop staring at it!
The varnish itself is a really good consistency,not at all runny or streaky,and really good at self leveling,making the shine off the varnish even better!it is really glossy,the pictures below are all without any top coat, however i did apply one after the photographs were taken just too ensure they did not chip quickly!
I have currently had this nail varnish on for 3 days and it hasn't chipped at all which is brilliant!
I am so impressed with the nail colour,it is really unique,i have not seen a colour quite like it on the high street,and the polish itself is of a brilliant quality!

Nicki Minaj Collaboration with OPI!

After reading the hype around the new collection of OPI nail polishes designed by Nicki Minaj (who happens to be one of my favourite artists!) i knew i had to them out! However at around £10.50 (!) for each full size bottle of polish it looked as if it was a test which i would not be able to afford. 

This all changed after doing a bit of an internet search and discovering that OPI have created a 'mini's' collection consisting of 4 x 3.75  ml bottles with the colours Fly (Teal Blue), Pink Friday (Pastel baby pink),Did it on em ( Bright Yellow/Green) and Metallic for Life (Black with silver glitter).

 I managed to purchase a pack of the mini's off

which are currently being sold at £12.75 which is a much more purse friendly option!

Individual NOTD posts will be done as i try each of the colours and the consistency of the shades,but to be honest the excitement as i opened the packaging and saw the amazing bright colours has made the £12.75 price tag worth it!
